Parents and Partners in Education
It is truly my pleasure to be a part of the Meadowbrook family; and I would like to welcome you to the 2010 – 2011 school year. As you are aware, our school is a Title I School of Distinction. This accomplishment indicates that our students have demonstrated a high level of academic achievement. Therefore, I encourage everyone involved in our school to continue supporting us in our efforts to provide our students a quality education in an environment that is safe, healthy, and conducive to learning. This will ensure that our school maintains a high level of academic excellence.
By working together as partners in education, our students will be able to meet the goals of Adequately Yearly Progress (AYP) that have increased for this school year. By setting high expectations and involving our students in learning experiences based on a curriculum focused on teaching them to think, involving them in learning experiences based on real life, placing a strong emphasis on reading, writing, problem solving, and teaching them to have self -respect and respect for others, they will be successful in meeting AYP standards. In addition, this will assist them in becoming lifelong learners and productive citizens who will be able to make positive contributions to their communities and to the world.
I look forward to working with you and invite you to visit our school. Also, keep in mind that we are in this together as advocates for the students entrusted into our care.
Yours truly,
Dr. John W. Felton
